Consolidated Pipe and Supply Company is moving its headquarters from the campus of Birmingham-Southern College to a new space off Lakeshore Parkway in Birmingham. Last year, the company donated its current headquarters building to the college and has been renting space from BSC since January 2023.   – AL.com

 

Mazda Toyota names new executive

David Fernandes, currently president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Mississippi, will move to Mazda Toyota Manufacturing in Huntsville as senior vice president of manufacturing. Fernandes, who also was formerly president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Alabama, will take over his new duties on Oct. 23. – WebWire

Hickory Tavern closes at Birmingham’s Brookwood Village

With the closing of Hickory Tavern at Brookwood Village, only Five Guys, the burger restaurant, remains at the mammoth Homewood property. Hickory Tavern had been at the mall since 2015. Birmingham-based Fairway Investments, along with an Atlanta group, has purchased most of Brookwood Village and the nearby Brookwood Office Center.  – Bham Now
