Coastal Alabama Community College has new president

Aaron Milner brings nearly 30 years of experience to his new role

Dr. Aaron Milner named president of Coastal Alabama Community College.

The Alabama Community College System has named Dr. Aaron Milner president of Coastal Alabama Community College. He currently serves as superintendent of Saraland City Schools.

“Aaron has nearly 30 years of educational experience but brings a fresh perspective on the changes that must happen for more students to pursue success, so I am confident that his expertise will continue to help move the region forward,” said Jimmy Baker, chancellor of the Alabama Community College System.

Milner began his career in education as a middle-school teacher in Eufaula City Schools. He then served as an assistant principal at Enterprise High School and superintendent of Enterprise City Schools, moving to Saraland in 2013. He also has served as an adjunct professor at the University of South Alabama and Troy University.

Milner is a graduate of the University of Alabama. He earned his master’s at Troy State University and his doctorate at Auburn University.

Coastal Alabama Community College serves more than 10,000 students across 12 locations in the south Alabama region.
