Chinese Auto Supplier CCI Chooses Alabama

CCI Manufacturing USA Corp., a Tier 1 auto supplier, has announced it will invest $21.5 million to construct an advanced production facility in Lawrence County. The facility will be located in Mallard Fox West Industrial Complex in Trinity and will have rail access.

CCI will produce automotive fluids, such as brake fluid and engine coolant. Once construction is completed, the company is expected to employ about 28 people at the site.

“We are excited to welcome CCI to Lawrence County as the county’s first automotive supplier,” said Tabitha Pace, president and CEO of the Lawrence County Industrial Development Board. “Our team has worked extremely hard in the past year to make this project a reality, and we look forward to working with CCI in the future to ensure their success in our county.”

CCI has corporate headquarters in Japan and operations in Illinois, Germany, Mexico, Brazil, Thailand, Taiwan and China.

According to the company’s website, its Golden Cruiser brake fluid and engine coolant are approved by leading automotive manufacturers including Daimler, Ford and several Japanese auto manufacturing subsidiaries. Its braking fluid satisfies the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Its engine coolant performs the necessary coolant functions, plus provides lubricating power, thermal stability and saltwater resistance.
