A proposed $150 million agriculture complex planned by the Alabama Farmers Federation in Clanton in Chilton County will not move forward. Dothan begins work on spec building

Officials in Dothan have kicked off a project to build a 100,000-square-foot spec building in the Sam Houston Industrial Park. The spec building – an available facility for prospects to move into – will be on a 41-acre site in the park and is expected to be completed this fall. – Made in Alabama

Imperial Dade acquires Alabama company

Imperial Dade, a distributor of food service packaging and janitorial supplies, has acquired North Alabama Chemical, based in Decatur with two other locations in Florence and Huntsville. The Alabama company is a provider of janitorial supplies, services and solutions.   – CleanLink
