Ensley entertainment site planned

A planned development in Birmingham’s Ensley neighborhood will include an amphitheater, garden and green space, living spaces and a large bar area. Ensley Social is being supported by a number of companies, including Parker & Associates, Barnes & Associates, Phil Amthor, REV Birmingham and Alabama Power. The development, on a five-acre site, may open sometime in 2024. – Bham Now

Bike rental company wins Singing River competition

Nathan Tucker and Ash Moore of Rocket City Electric Bike Rentals won the second Singing River Trail Launch Tank competition. Eight finalists competed at the event held at Athens State University. – News 19

Huntsville company awarded $8.2 million Army contract

Hexagon U.S. Federal, based in Huntsville, was awarded an $8.2 million contract by the U.S. Army. The contract is for technical support for work to be performed at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. – Defense Daily
