Gabe Clement has been appointed president of Byars|Wright Inc., an independent insurance agency.
Clement joined the firm as a broker in 2014 before launching the firm’s Birmingham branch in 2019 and becoming sales team leader in 2021. He is one of Byars|Wright’s six shareholders. In addition to his new role, Clement will continue as sales team leader.
Haig Wright II, who had served as both president and CEO, will continue in the chief executive role of Byars|Wright, while also serving as chief executive officer of WRM Group LLC, Byars|Wright’s parent company.
“We are confident that Gabe is the right person to step into this role,” said Wright. “Gabe’s ability to lead is one of many strengths that propelled him to this level. He is forward-thinking and has shown great commitment to our team, clients and the insurance industry.”
Byars|Wright has experienced significant growth over the past several years and reported a 16% increase in revenue last year. In July 2022, Byars|Wright merged with Pritchett-Moore Insurance to form the Where Relationships Matter Group LLC.
