Byars|Wright Insurance and Pritchett-Moore Insurance have entered into a merger agreement, establishing the Where Relationships Matter Group LLC. While the agencies will continue operating under their current names, they are now part of the WRM Group.

Each of the agencies is more than 75 years old, with portfolios and cultures that are complementary. Synergies will come from the increased scale of the group, sharing of best practices and combined resources.

“These are exciting times,” said Haig Wright II, president of Byars|Wright. “In our industry, scale matters. This allegiance enhances our overall market strength and provides significant opportunities for all involved. More importantly, it benefits our customers.”

Byars|Wright has six offices across Alabama and serves industries and customers across the Southeast. Approximately a year ago, Wright said that Byars|Wright’s strategy was to continue to grow through acquisition, after completing acquisitions in 2017 and 2018 and opening additional offices in 2019 and 2020.

Founded in 1934, Pritchett-Moore Insurance’s office is in Tuscaloosa providing insurance solutions to individuals and businesses. “We’re pleased to partner with an agency that cares about its employees, customers, community and carrier relationships as much as we do,” said Lin Moore, president of Pritchett-Moore. “We’re better together. This is a positive move, which will accelerate revenue growth and profitability, allowing us to expand and provide more value and superior services.”

In addition to Wright and Moore serving as managing members of the WRM Group, Gabe Clement, of Byars|Wright, and Andrew Hudson, of Pritchett-Moore, will serve on WRM Group’s executive committee.

Both companies’ offices will continue to operate with its current employees. The agencies will continue to offer commercial insurance, surety/bonding, employee benefits solutions, personal and life insurance.
