Business Council of Alabama Turns 35

The Business Council of Alabama, born from the consolidation of the Alabama Chamber of Commerce and Associated Industries of Alabama back in 1985, is celebrating its 35th birthday this week.

The organization champions business interests with the Alabama Legislature, Congress and other venues. It also has strong ties with the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama and the Alabama Self-Insured Workers  Compensation Fund.

Over the years, BCA has played a key role in developing tax credits for small businesses, economic development incentives and other issues.

BCA is the official affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
