Bridgeworth Wealth Management, of Birmingham, is joining Savant Wealth Management, a fee-only registered investment advisor with nearly $21 billion in assets under management.
Bridgeworth, with 58 employees and assets under management of approximately $2.2 billion, will mark Savant’s first partnership in Alabama and strengthen the firm’s southeastern footprint.
DeLynn Zell, Bridgeworth co-founder, will continue to lead the Alabama offices, as well as serve in a leadership role at Savant. Zell and current Bridgeworth partners will become member-owners in Savant. All team members of Bridgeworth are joining Savant, with the Birmingham and Huntsville offices remaining in their current locations.
“Partnering with Savant fits ideally into the trajectory of our strategic plan,” said Zell. “We are highly aligned in our approach to planning, investments, client service and core values, and look forward to becoming a part of the Savant team.”
Savant is distinguished by its employee ownership, and Bridgeworth is taking a significant equity stake with several staffers joining as member-owners. In addition to Zell, Bridgeworth’s existing partners include co-founder Wayne Harris, Brian Hinson, Patti Black, Sam Fitch, Jeris Gaston, William Hocutt, Zack Ivey, Jeff McCormack and Jenny Sneed. Joining this group as member-owners in Savant are Stephen Gunter, David LeCompte, Jonathan Millican, David Ward and Stewart Whitt.
“As we grow, we are focused on positioning our firm with best-in-class talent, processes and technology, while seeking to enhance our culture of excellence and client-first principles,” said Brent Brodeski, CEO of Savant. “As the 2023 InvestmentNews #1 ‘Best Place to Work’ for RIA firms in the country, Bridgeworth is an excellent fit, and we are proud to welcome their team to Savant.”
