Sridhara Gutti, CEO of Birmingham-based Essnova Solutions, was recently awarded Alabama’s Small Business Person of the Year award by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Gutti was named in March, but because of COVID-19, he received the award recently in a ceremony in Birmingham.
The SBA cited Gutti’s oversight of triple-digit growth over the past three years at Essnova, which provides automation, systems integration, data mining, training, professional and other services to government agencies and commercial clients.
“I want to thank my friends and mentors who encouraged me to enter the federal market and the SBA business opportunities specialists who offered tremendous guidance,” Gutti said. “Our incredible team and the small business specialists and contracting professionals at each agency transformed how we do business and brought new opportunities for our employees.”
Some of Essnova’s clients include the Air Force, Army, Centers for Disease Control, Department of Agriculture, Department of Homeland Security and the General Services Administration.
Essnova was founded in 2005.
