Auburn University’s Research and Innovation Campus opened in Huntsville, featuring nine acres of property and a facility to support applied research and development work for Huntsville-area customers. The campus is on the property formerly occupied by LogiCore. – Auburn University

 

Doster completes Huntsville’s Constellation

Doster Construction Co., based in Birmingham, has completed construction of Constellation in downtown Huntsville. The mixed-use development includes 219 apartments. –Doster Construction

Stewart wins Birmingham award

Shelley Stewart, a pioneering broadcast and advertising executive and a civil rights leader, earned the Putting People First award, one of Birmingham’s top honors, at this weekend’s AWAKEN event during the Magic City Classic weekend. Mayor Randall Woodfin said Stewart made a difference in Birmingham by using his voice and radio platform. – Birmingham Times

 

New affordable housing units coming to Mobile

Officials broke ground on Maryvale Place, a new affordable housing complex on the eastern side of Mobile. It will include four three-story buildings with one, two and three-bedroom units. Construction should be finished within a year and the apartments are set to open in fall 2024. – Bama Buzz
