Fort Payne-based Artemis Shielding has recently completed a radiation-blocking wall for a BWX Technologies facility in Indiana, using Artemis Nanotek materials.
“Artemis Shielding’s technologies were sought out as an alternative to lead and pouring concrete due to space availability,” Artemis said in a press statement. “Artemis developed the customized solution to fit BWXT’s needs and the wall is the only know NDT product of its kind.”
“Artemis Shielding has done an excellent job making this difficult project their own, and they came through in more ways than any company could ask for,” said Ryan Allen, who is safety officer for BWXT.
Artemis Shielding is a global provider of lead-free, non-toxic radiation shielding material, developed by its own team of physicists and engineers.
