APCO merges with Atlanta credit union

Birmingham-based APCO Employee Credit Union and Atlanta’s Powerco Federal Credit Union have announced a merger. Powerco Federal Credit Union will operate as Powerco Credit Union, a division of APCO Employees Credit Union. A full conversion will be completed in 2024. – APCO Employees Credit Union

 

Crestwood Medical Center has data breach

Personal data of thousands of Crestwood Medical Center patients in Huntsville could have been breached in an incident at the end of January. The hospital’s parent company has sent letters to patients, saying medical diagnoses and billing and insurance information, as well as social security numbers, could have been breached in the incident. – News 19

Regions launches new Black-owned business support

Regions Bank is launching a new initiative to support and grow Black-owned businesses in Birmingham, where Regions is based. Kendra Key will lead Region’s Black-Owned Business Initiative. NTT Data extends contract with RSA

Virginia-based NTT Data has signed an eight-year extension of its current agreement to manage the Retirement Systems of Alabama’s 44,000-square-foot data center in Montgomery. The data center provides hosting services for more than 50 companies. – NTT Data
