Index: Alabama business leaders not confident in U.S. economy

A quarterly survey by the University of Alabama’s Center for Business and Economic Research shows that almost 58% of Alabama’s business leaders expect worse economic conditions for the U.S. in the second quarter of 2022. Laserfab plans expansion

North Alabama Laserfab, based in Lester, near Athens, is expanding its 20,000-square-foot facility by 2,100 square feet and is expected to add 10 new jobs over the next three years. The Limestone County Commission has approved a tax abatement for the $803,000 expansion. – The News Courier
