Alabama Chanin, the fashion company in Florence, will become a nonprofit. The company’s founder, Natalie Chanin, plans to move both Alabama Chanin and The School of Making, an educational organization she founded, under the umbrella of Project Threadways, a nonprofit that interprets history through the lens of fashion and textiles. – Bama Buzz
