FabArc Steel Supply breaks ground on new HQ

The Oxford facility will allow administration and fabrication support under one roof

FabArc Steel Supply Inc. is set to break ground on its new corporate headquarters in Oxford today.

The 25,000-square-foot facility will provide the space to bring administrative and fabrication support functions under the same roof, creating a streamlined and collaborative environment. The facility also will contain multiple conference and meeting rooms and expanded workspaces.

The new headquarters also will include a lower-level courtyard, a gym, recreational areas and a safe room space, all aimed at enhancing the employee experience.

“By bringing our teams together in a modern purpose-built space, we are creating an environment that supports collaboration, efficiency and continued growth,” said Tom Adams, president, chairman and CEO of FabArc Steel Supply. “We are proud to continue expanding right here in Oxford, where FabArc has deep roots.”

Founded in 1979, FabArc Steel Supply employs more than 300 workers in its two manufacturing plants totaling more than 300,000 square feet of fabrication space. The company’s production capacity exceeds 40,000 tons annually. FabArc Steel Supply is an employee-owned company.

Construction is expected to take approximately 12 to 14 months, with general contractor Goodgame Co. Inc., of Pell City, leading the project.

FabArc Steel Supply also announced an agreement with Turner Industries to lease-purchase Turner’s fabrication facility in Decatur. The facility includes 60,000 square feet of fabrication space on approximately 29 acres.

Under the agreement, FabArc will lease the facility with an option to purchase at the end of the term lease. The expansion will allow the company to scale operations to meet increasing demand. FabArc already has onboarded 35 employees to supports its continuation of services.

Turner Industries is transitioning to a region-wide operation model, according to Stephen Toups, CEO of Turner Industries. Under the agreement with FabArc, Turner will retain access to the facility as needed to support existing contracted work, ensuring continuity for current projects and clients.
