A look inside the Hardie-Tynes Co. in Birmingham

An undated look inside the Hardie-Tynes Co. erection shop on 28th Street North near Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham. The company was founded in 1895 by William Hardie and William Tynes, according to Bhamwiki.com. Over the decades, the company produced many things using iron and steel, including ship engines, propeller screws, valves and gates used in the dam now known as Hoover Dam, air compressors and equipment for public utilities.
