Seven companies will be honored today as winners of the Governor’s Trade Excellence Award for outstanding success in international trade. Orion Amphitheater group secures $50 million in new funding

The Venue Group, the group behind Huntsville’s Orion Amphitheater, has received $50 million in new funding from investors including music mogul Irving Azoff. Of that $50 million, $15 million is allocated toward Huntsville projects.  – AL.com

Hoover council Oks zoning for new development

The Hoover City Council approved zoning for nearly 16 acres along U.S. 280, paving the way for 120 townhomes and three commercial buildings. The property, across from the Walmart Supercenter, comprises 25,000 square feet. – Hoover Sun

 

Goodgame named chairman of Alabama Construction Craft Training Board

Jason Goodgame, vice president of Pell City’s Goodgame Company Inc., has been named chairman of the Alabama Construction Craft Training Board. Goodgame has worked in workforce training for 20 years. – St. Clair Times
