UAB wins entrepreneurship award

The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s entrepreneurship program took top honors in the nationwide Excellence in Entrepreneurship Education Awards. The awards are given by the United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship. UAB’s award was for best model emerging program.  – Bham Now

Tuscaloosa wants commercial flights

The Tuscaloosa National Airport is expected to renew its contract Tuesday with Volaire Aviation Consulting in an ongoing effort to secure commercial flights for the airport. The 12-month contract is for $47,000. – Tuscaloosa News
