22 in ’22: Niesha White

Meet the Alabama women propelling the tech scene

 

Niesha White is a freelance UX Designer and founder of Birmingham Black Techies, a local community of African Americans in technology, including coders, gamers, web developers and digital marketers. White founded the organization to give African Americans a way to connect in a field in which African Americans are often underrepresented. Birmingham Black Techies hosts webinars and networking social events, shares job resources and holds study sessions. The group also strives to keep each other abreast of what is happening in the local tech ecosystem. White is a graduate of Troy University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. She recently launched Ni Thee Techie LLC to deliver UX consulting services.
