Women’s Foundation of Alabama opens new headquarters

The new headquarters adds space for more offices and collaborative areas

The Women’s Foundation of Alabama opens its new headquarters in Birmingham.

The Women’s Foundation of Alabama has cut the ribbon on its new headquarters.

Previously housed in the LIV on Fifth loft building in Birmingham, the new facility on 1st Avenue South provides 5,000 square feet. The new facility has eight offices, four private workstations, three collaborative areas and an open floor plan.

“This space – where potential will be transformed into action, where collaboration, solidarity and resilience will come together weaving a tighter fabric of support for the women we serve — represents the possibility of a sea change for the women of our state and for our state itself,” said Melanie Bridgeforth, president and CEO of the Women’s Foundation of Alabama.

Founded more than two decades ago, the Women’s Foundation of Alabama advocates for women’s issues, helping to pave the way for opportunities of economic advancement.
