Wiese USA, a materials handling equipment company, is expanding into Alabama and north Florida. It will be leasing an industrial building on Commerce Circle in Birmingham.

A longstanding Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas dealer, Wiese has served the material handling industry for 75 years. In addition to Mitsubishi equipment, the company is a preferred provider of Caterpillar and Jungheinrich equipment.

With the expansion, the company will now serve customers across 17 states with more than 40 locations.

“The Wiese team is excited to expand our support to customers in Alabama and Northwestern Florida markets,” said Chip Wiese, president and CEO of Wiese USA. “We’re committed to bringing the very best in material handling products and solutions to the region and look forward to enjoying long-term relationships in Alabama and Florida.”

Starting Aug. 1, the company will be leasing a 32,203-square-foot building on Commerce Circle in Birmingham. From this location, the company will be able to deploy mobile service technicians to service the entire state.

In addition to strengthening the company’s fleet and increasing business, the expansion will benefit customers by increasing access to a broader variety of trucks, including multiple truck classes, specialty equipped trucks and other material handling equipment. Customers will also have access to Wiese’s network and service offerings. The company plans to offer an increased Caterpillar and Jungheinrich forklift inventory, electric forklifts and automated guided vehicles, updated fleets for rentals and leasing and more.

Wiese USA is privately owned and operated and features more than 100 makes and models of material handling equipment.
