What Are the Odds?

The jury returned a verdict March 7 in Alabama’s gambling corruption trial, finding all defendants not guilty on all counts. Everyone walked free, except for the bingo hall owner and lobbyists who pleaded guilty and turned state’s evidence.

And where are they walking? Milton McGregor said he plans to reopen Victoryland, complete with electronic bingo machines.

Who’s following?  State Attorney General Luther Strange who says the electronic bingo machines are still illegal in Alabama and he’s committed to enforcing the law.
