Walgreens set to close 150 U.S. stores

Pharmacy chain Walgreens has announced plans to close 150 of its 9,000 U.S. locations and another 300 in the United Kingdom. The cost-cutting measure is expected to take effect by May 2024. — USA Today

Improvements planned at Dothan industrial park

School sales tax holiday set July 21-23

School supplies, computers and some clothing are exempt from state sales taxes and some local sales taxes from July 21-23 to help trim back-to-school costs. The state has offered the sales tax holiday since 2006.  — Village Living
