UAB Hospital once again topped U.S. News & World Report’s list of best hospitals in Alabama, also earning mentions on a number of specialty lists.
According to the list, UAB Hospital is the top hospital in Alabama, followed by Huntsville Hospital at No. 2; and Ascension St. Vincent’s Birmingham at No. 3.
In addition, UAB Hospital ranked nationally in eight specialties: 7th in gynecology; 10th in rheumatology; 22nd in rehabilitation; 25th in ear, nose and throat; 27th in cancer; 29th in cardiology and heart surgery; 30th in geriatrics; and 31st in pulmonology and lung surgery.
