Two Alabama Companies Land DOD Contracts

Iron Mountain Solutions Inc., a Huntsville technology company, has been awarded a $15.5 million modification to a contract for technical support for the Utility Helicopter Project Office of the U.S. Army. The contract is set for completion by February 8, 2021. The company, founded in 2007, specializes in systems, software and hardware engineering, airworthiness, engine diagnostics, test, project management programmic support, cybersecurity, information assurance, acquisitions, logistics and foreign military sales.

Airbus DS Military Aircraft Inc., of Mobile, was awarded a $10 million maximum ceiling firm-fixed-price contract for the sustainment and modernization of five CASA 212-200 CC60 aircraft. The company will install new avionics suites and aircraft maintenance refresh for the U.S. Army Special Operation Aviation Command. The work, the majority of which will be performed in Mobile, is expected to be complete by August 2023. Of the contract amount, $8,759,134 came out of fiscal 2020 operations and maintenance funds at the time of the award.  Airbus DS Military Aircraft provides customer support for C212 and CN235 operators worldwide and is both FAR 145 and EASA 145.6332 certified for structural and avionic repairs, heavy inspections, modifications, C212 platform refurbishment and avionic upgrades. It also is the only OEM authorized repair center in the U.S. for C212 and CN235 hydraulic and landing gear overhauls.
