Alabama landed two firms in the top 25 of a prestigious list of construction accounting firms in 2021.
Carr, Riggs & Ingram LLC, based in Enterprise, and Warren Averett LLC, based in Birmingham, ranked 18th and 23rd respectively on the Top 50 Construction Accounting Firms by Construction Executive.
Construction Executive is the leading trade magazine about the business of construction. To determine the ranking, CE asked hundreds of U.S. accounting firms with a construction practice to complete a survey. The data collected included 2020 revenues from the firm’s construction practice, number of CPAs in the firm’s construction practice, the percentage of firm’s total revenues derived from its construction practice, the number of states in which the firm is licensed to practice, the year in which the construction practice was established and the number of architecture, engineering and construction clients served during fiscal year 2020. The ranking was determined by an algorithm that weighted these factors in descending order of importance.
