Landing, the new venture from Birmingham’s Bill Smith, who founded Shipt, has secured another $100 million in new funding. Landing, founded in 2019, offers yearly memberships, flexible lease terms and one- and two-bedroom furnished apartments in 75 cities for members.  – AL.comÂ
Commerce adds project manager
Veronica Crock, the former president of the Ozark-Dale County Economic Development Corp., has been hired by the Alabama Department of Commerce as senior project manager, focusing on advanced manufacturing statewide. Crock is also former president of Grow Southeast Alabama. – Made in Alabama

Alabama Black Belt Adventures names new board members
Alabama Black Belt Adventures, which promotes and enhances outdoor recreation and tourism opportunities in Alabama’s Black Belt counties, has added two new board members.
