Toni Herrera-Bast is the new president and CEO of the Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce. For the past two years, Herrera-Bast has been vice president of public relations for the YWCA of Central Alabama. She will start her new role on March 1.  – Hoover Sun 

Small business workshops planned in Etowah County
The Etowah County Extension Office and The Chamber of Gadsden & Etowah County will team for a four-part series of small business workshops in April. They’ll be offered by Zoom or in a hybrid version that allows for some in-person attendance. The workshops will help participants develop a business plan.  – The Gadsden Times
