RTC Threaders, recently acquired by Threaded Fasteners, manufactures a full line of planetary threading equipment.

Threaded Fasteners Inc. has acquired RTC Threaders, formerly Ruja Tooling Corp., based in Churubusco, Indiana.

Headquartered in Mobile, Threaded Fasteners is an employee-owned company that manufactures, packages and distributes steel fasteners to a variety of industries including utilities, chemical and electrical, commercial marine construction, stainless steel fabricators, metal building manufacturers and the Department of Transportation fabricators.

RTC was founded in 1971 by Jack Pease and now is under the direction of his son, Rick Pease. The company has grown into a leader in making planetary threading equipment, innovating and developing new lines of threading machines. Rick Pease and long-term business associate Chuck Wilcoxson are joining Threaded Fasteners.

“We are thrilled to have Rick and the RTC team joining the TFI Family. I have had the privilege of getting to know Rick during this time and I was not only immediately impressed with the quality of the machines that he designs, but most importantly the quality of his character,” said Billy Duren, president and chief motivational officer of Threaded Fasteners Inc.

RTC’s fleet of Eagle Machines are built to be durable. The single and double-end planetary threading machines create a diverse solutions-based approach to threaded manufacturing needs across the industry. The company offers a complete line of planetary threaders, as well as a complete line of automated bar shears.

“These machines are fast, durable and customizable; for those not familiar with the fastener machine world, they are the Lamborghini of threaded machines,” said Randall Connor, manufacturing operations manager of Threaded Fasteners.

Rick Pease said of joining Threaded Fasteners, “I’ve always had this mechanical piece to me, so I’m looking forward to having the time to develop new machines. There’s a sense of satisfaction when you build a complete machine and then see the end product.”

RTC will continue operations in northern Indiana, serving clients throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Threaded Fasteners has 11 locations in the U.S., including two locations in Alabama, employing approximately 220 people.
