New UA role will forge workforce partnerships

The University of Alabama has named Patrick Mendez its first director of strategic research partnerships and consortiums, a role charged with forming partnerships that address technology and workforce needs of industry. New apprenticeship program for aviation workers

The Alabama Office of Apprenticeship, with M1 Support Srvices and the Alabama Aviation College, has developed an apprenticeship program for aviation mechanics and technicians. The program will help meet workforce needs in the Fort Rucker area. – Alabama Political Reporter
