Showa will make more gloves under $37.6 million contract
The Department of Defense has awarded Showa in Fayette a $37.6 million contract to increase domestic production of nitrile gloves. This will allow Showa to increase its production by 66.7 million gloves a month by June 2023. – U.S. Department of Defense 

Louisiana’s Ochsner Health will take over three state facilities
Louisiana’s Ochsner Health will merge with Rush Health Systems, including Rush’s three hospitals in Alabama. In addition to hospitals in Mississippi, Rush operates Alabama facilities in Butler, Gilberton and Livingston. – Meridian Star 

Alabama A&M among four colleges getting Apple grants
Four HBCUs around the country – including Alabama A&M University – will share in $5 million of grants given by Apple. The money will be used to expand the universities’ engineering programs for designing the chips that power electronic devices. The grants are part of Apple’s racial justice initiative. – Reuters

Goodall Homes buys Huntsville’s Legacy Homes
Goodall Homes has announced its purchase of prominent Huntsville homebuilder Legacy Homes of Alabama. The purchase took place in May but was just announced. Legacy Homes is the largest private homebuilder in the Huntsville area.  – WHNT 19
