ServisFirst, Regions rank on Forbes 2023 Best Banks List

ServisFirst came in at no. 15, Regions Financial at no. 80

ServisFirst Bank and Regions Financial were the only two Alabama-based banks to make Forbes’ 2023 America’s Best Banks ranking.

Forbes looks at growth, credit quality and profitability in the 12 months through September 30, 2022, to rank the 100 largest publicly traded banks, by assets, and then ranks them from best to worst.

“We are extremely proud to be recognized on a list that sets the precedent for banks in the United States, and we are excited to continue our growth and profitability in 2023,” said Tom Broughton, ServisFirst Bank chairman, president and CEO.

ServisFirst, coming in at no. 15 on the ranking, has $14 billion in total assets. Its return on equity is 20.4%, non-performing assets of 0.09% and common equity tier 9.4%. ServisFirst’s efficiency ratio is 32.4% and operating revenue growth is 20.7%.

Regions Financial, coming in at no. 80, has $158 billion in total assets. Its return on equity is 20.3%, non-performing assets of 0.57% and common equity tier 9.3%. Regions’ efficiency ratio is 57.6% and operating revenue growth is 6.8%.
