Regions exec among Most Powerful Women in Banking for 5th year

Kate Danella is 9th on this year’s list

For the fifth straight year, Kate Danella, head of the Consumer Banking Group at Regions Bank, has been named to American Banker’s list of Most Powerful Women in Banking.

Danella is the only woman from an Alabama bank on the list, which is part of American Banker’s October issue.

“Since Kate joined Regions in 2015, her commitment to innovation and her focus on delivering a superior customer experience have had a meaningful impact on our customers,” said John Turner, president and CEO of Regions Financial Corp.

Danella became head of consumer banking at Regions in May 2022 after serving as chief strategy and client experience officer. Roles at Regions also have included serving as head of strategic planning and consumer bank products and origination partnerships.

Before Regions, Danella held leadership roles at Capital Group Companies.
