Huntsville’s QuantiTech LLC has acquired Dynamic Concepts LLC, also based in Huntsville. Both firms are engaged in engineering and software development for military and space operations.
Quantitech is a portfolio company of Sagewind Capital LLC and used that backing to acquire Dynamic Concepts.
“QuantiTech partnered with Sagewind Capital in May because we were searching for a partner that would support our growth as we strive to better support our customers’ critical missions,” said QuantiTech President and CEO Darryl Wortman. “Only a few months into our partnership, we are thrilled to have closed on our first acquisition. DCI is an excellent addition to QuantiTech as it provides us with a complementary set of high-end specialized services and bolsters our existing relationship with NASA. DCI personnel are shaping the future of human spaceflight, and we look forward to supporting them in combination with QuantiTech.”
Dynamic Concepts has concentrated on engineering and software support for human spaceflight, working with Marshall Space Flight Center, Johnson Space Center and Glenn Research Center as well as the U.S. Department of Defense and commercial space companies.
Its specialties include classical and structural dynamics, digital and hardware-in-the-loop simulation, custom software applications, and control systems design and analysis in support of human spaceflight.
“We are excited to join the QuantiTech family and to have found a partner that shares our dedication to customers and their critical mission,” said Joseph Clayton, president of DCI.
QuantiTech specializes in systems engineering, cybersecurity, test and evaluation and program management in hypersonics, counter unmanned aircraft systems and human spaceflight.
QuantiTech was founded in 1991 while Dynamic Concepts was founded in 1996. Sagewind Capital is based in New York.
