Pumpkin Spice Abounds, but Sister Schubert’s on a Roll

While summer’s menu has its charm with potato salad, barbecue and watermelon, many serious gourmets and gourmands look to fall for their truly serious, season-defining table experiences.

With fall just weeks away, Sister Schubert’s Homemade Rolls will soon release its limited time Pumpkin Spice Roll, available through Nov. 1 or while supplies last.

Alabamians familiar with Sister Schubert’s product line won’t be surprised to know her version of pumpkin spice rolls will contain pumpkin puree baked into the dough, cream cheese filling, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice in every bite and icing drizzled on top.

Patricia “Sister Schubert” Barnes, the Alabama baker and founder of Sister Schubert’s, practically transformed the frozen bread industry in 1989 with her grandmother’s yeast roll recipe. Her other products include the dinner yeast roll, Parker House roll, cinnamon roll, sausage wrap roll and other favorites.
