Norfolk Southern giving $3 million more to Etowah County megasite
Etowah County will receive an additional $3 million from Norfolk Southern through the Growing Alabama Credit program for the county’s NEAR Megasite. The money will be used to construct a 500-gallon water tank, which will allow the site to tie into water and sewer service from Rainbow City. – The Gadsden Times

Crews broke ground on the first of six Food City grocery stores planned for Huntsville. The first store is being built in Hampton Cove, part of Food City’s planned $90 million investment in the Huntsville area. – News 19
Luckie named agency of record for RaceTrac
Birmingham-based Luckie & Co. has been named the creative and brand agency of record for RaceTrac. The company will be responsible for RaceTrac’s brand strategy, advertising creative, analytics, social content strategy and communications planning. Anniston receives Homeland Security grant

Birmingham Kiwanis awards $35,000
Eight Birmingham nonprofits will share $35,000 in grants from the Birmingham Kiwanis Foundation.
