Business Alabama is making plans for its inaugural Business Alabama Awards in early 2023, but first, we need to hear from you.
We’re looking for nominations in six categories searching for the best and brightest in big and small companies all over the state.
Deadline for nominations is Nov. 18, and you can make your nominations here.
Here are the categories and a brief description of them. 2023 awards will be given for accomplishments in 2022.
Alabama Company of the Year: The company you consider to be Alabama’s top overall company. This could be based on financial success, innovation or other reasons.
CEO of the Year: Alabama’s top CEO this year. Again, it could be a CEO who led a company to great success, a CEO who is at the helm of a brand-new company or some other big accomplishment in 2022.
Startup of the Year: We’re looking for new companies here, either a company that launched in 2022, won a funding competition in 2022 or participated in an accelerator in 2022.
Unsung Hero of the Year: Think of the executive assistant who keeps a CEO running on time, or a new hire who had a great idea to improve efficiency. Nominate someone who wouldn’t be covered by our other awards.
Philanthropic Project of the Year: This category is for philanthropic projects that are hugely successful or inventive.
Alabama Expat of the Year: This award will recognize an Alabamian who has left the state but has made a name for themselves in the business world.
