MTC Logistics has been honored by business-to-business publication Food Logistics for its role in keeping the global food chain moving.

The magazine’s list of Top 3PL & Cold Storage Providers honors third-party logistics and cold storage providers.

“3PLs and cold storage providers continue to be the heart and soul of the cold chain. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and other supply chain disruptions, these companies continue to showcase agility, resiliency, strength and innovation,” says Food Chair editor Marina Mayer. “They’ve pivoted in a time of crisis, armed themselves with solutions that matter and protected people and product along the way.”

Ernie Ferguson, vice president of sales at MTC, added, “The recognition is appreciated and is a testimony to our most important asset, our employees. We are excited about the future and have recently opened a new facility in Mobile, Alabama, to better serve our customers in another region.”

A $61 million dollar investment adjacent to the Alabama State Port Authority container terminal, MTC’s cold storage facility encompasses 12 million cubic feet including 40,000 racked pallet positions of storage. Services include blast freezing, port drayage and LTL (less than truckload) consolidation.
