Morell Engineering, of Athens, has acquired Civil Group LLC, of Muscle Shoals. The civil engineering firms will operate under their respective identities, but each will add services through the acquisition.
Civil Group, founded by Brad Williams and Trey Alexander in 2013, is an engineering and surveying landscape company. Morell Engineering, founded by Taz Morell in 2004, is a full engineering firm, with services including aviation engineering, subdivision design, transportation design, surveying and geotechnical services.
The expanded services of both firms will include site design, land surveying, transportation design, geotechnical engineering, subdivision design, aviation engineering, construction materials testing, construction engineering and inspection and project management.
