If you think money won’t buy happiness, some folks say you’re just shopping at the wrong stores. The right store, in this case, is Mercedes-Benz of Birmingham.
But it will take more than just money to acquire a Nick Saban Signature Series Mercedes-Benz Sprinter to drive up to Tuscaloosa for your next tailgate.
Only 15 of the ultra-customized, $200, 000 vehicles will be produced for the 2015-2016 college football season, according to Mercedes-Benz of Birmingham — which Saban co-owns — and McSweeney Designs, which creates specialty vehicles.
It rolls into your driveway capable of carrying nine passengers and offers three TVs, high-tech audio and video systems and a cooler. Other premium touches include hardwood flooring, high-grain leather and massage chairs.
The vehicle was recently shown off at a Mercedes-Benz event in Hoover. Saban said he left the design to the experts, but never fear, his signature is stitched in red on the headrests.
