Thirty-three members of the U.S. House of Representatives have called for the U.S. Department of Labor to look into the use of children in Hyundai’s labor supply. This comes after Reuters reported at the end of last year that at least four major auto parts suppliers in Alabama for Hyundai and Kia have used child labor recently.  – AL.com

 

Huntsville adds money for Hays Farm Park

The Huntsville City Council has approved an additional $1 million in funding for the new Hays Farm Park project in South Huntsville. That increases the city’s commitment from $3.6 million to $4.6 million. – News 19

Ivey encourages hiring of veterans

Gov. Kay Ivey is urging employers to hire veterans by applying to the Hire Vets Medallion Award Program. The application period for the U.S. Department of Labor program runs through April 30. In 2022, 34 Alabama companies received the Hire Vets Medallion Award. – Alabama Political Reporter
