MAAS plans to add two paint hangars for a total of five.

MAAS Aviation Brookley Inc., an international company that paints airplanes, has announced plans for two more paint hangars at its site in Mobile — $ 1.6 million investment. The company has three paint hangars in Mobile now.

MAAS is located alongside the Airbus complex at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley. It was one of the first Airbus suppliers to open in Mobile. The $1.6 million investment is focused on the jigs and tooling that are integral to expansion.

“Increasing our capacity is essential to meeting the growing demands of our customers and achieving our strategic ambitions. Mobile has proven to be an ideal location to grow our business, and we are looking forward to expanding our footprint at Brookley Field,” said MAAS Aviation Chief Operating Officer Geoff Myrick.

Mobile Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Bradley Byrne said, “MAAS Aviation’s expansion is not just a testament to their success but also a reflection of the thriving business environment in Mobile. This growth further cements Mobile’s position as a hub for innovation and economic development.”

Mobile County Commission President Randall Dueitt noted that the expansion will bring some 150 full-time jobs within the next five years.
