Mobile-based Leavell Investment Management is ranked first in Alabama and fourth in the nation on this year’s listing of financial advisory firms by CNBC.
Leavell has ranked in the top 100 for the past five years — the entire time that CNBC has been creating its rankings.
Montgomery-based Jackson Thornton is also among the top 100 in the country.
Tom Leavell founded the Mobile firm in 1979. On its website, the firm says, “Tom saw a need in the financial services industry for high-net-worth families to have their money managed by a firm that had a fiduciary duty to act in their best interests.”
At present, the firm has $2.4 billion under advisement.
In an interview with CNBC, Leavell CEO Andrew Grinstead shares views on the market and insights into the firm’s investment strategy.
