Huntsville Hospital acquires DeKalb Regional
The Huntsville Hospital Health System has acquired the DeKalb Regional Medical Center in Fort Payne. The DeKalb County Hospital Association will continue to operate the DeKalb Ambulance Service as a separate entity. – News 19

Foley named World War II heritage city
Foley is one of 11 new cities in the U.S. designated as American World War II Heritage Cities. Foley was the site of the U.S. Navy’s Barin Field, which was a training center for pilots. In addition, Camp Foley was a prisoner of war camp that held about 250 Axis prisoners. – Bama Buzz
