RV park company wins Singing River competition

Selah’s Acres RV Park and Resort Development won the inaugural Singing River Trail Launch Tank competition and its $5,000 prize. Run by a Madison couple, the idea for an RV community won over eight other finalists. They hope to include a pool, campground, dog run and tiny homes on the property.  – The Madison Record

Engineering degrees are highest paying of UA degrees

Eight of the top 10 highest-paying bachelor’s degrees at the University of Alabama five years after graduation are engineering degrees. Topping the list are mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering and chemical engineering. Management information systems and services as well as computer and information sciences also made the list. – AL.com

 

Huntsville doctor charged in $28 million fraud

A Huntsville doctor has been charged in a fraud that billed insurers for $28 million for unnecessary tests. Eric Beck is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud. – AL.com
