HGR opens industrial equipment warehouse in Birmingham

New facility will serve Ohio firm’s Southern clients

HGR Industrial Surplus, based in the Cleveland area, has announced plans to open an industrial equipment warehouse in Birmingham.

Up until now, HGR has served clients from a single facility in Euclid, Ohio, near Cleveland. The new facility is designed to make for quicker delivery times to clients in the South.

HGR handles some 4,000 truckloads of surplus a year, buying and selling with customers worldwide, offering goods through an online marketplace at HGRinc.com.

“HGR will be able to store more equipment with the addition of the Birmingham warehouse, allowing HGR to buy more surplus from customers looking to clear out their facilities and recoup part of the initial investment on their equipment.,” the firm said in announcing the new facility. “Plus, the new warehouse supply will provide customers from the South and internationally with a greater supply of surplus to shop when they visit the marketplace online. Equipment will be available regionally in the South, offering faster transportation and reduced shipping costs.”

The firm offered no information about the size or location of the new warehouse.
