Grant program launched for underrepresented entrepreneurs

Rev Birmingham has launched the Birmingham Open for Business micro-equity grant program, meant to help underrepresented entrepreneurs. The program is funded by a $1 million grant from the PNC Foundation. Applications for the first round of grants, the Ready State, are open, and $100,000 will be distributed among up to 15 entrepreneurs. â€“ Bham Now

Brunch restaurant franchise Toasted Yolk Cafe is opening its first location in Mobile today. The restaurant, on Old Shell Road, joins a location in Dothan, with a third Alabama location coming to downtown Birmingham later.  â€“ Bama Buzz
