First responders from around the world will gather in Birmingham June 27 to July 6 for the 2025 World Police & Fire Games.

More than 8,500 first responders are expected for the competition, which features more than 60 events in more than 35 venues throughout the city.

Traditional sports range from jiu-jitsu, basketball and cycling to chess, darts and bowling.

Special for these games are challenges like Toughest Competitor Alive, Ultimate Firefighter and Dragonboat races.

Competitors face a work-related challenge.

Hub for the games is the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex, which will also host crossfit, darts, dodgeball, table tennis and the like. Other sports are slated for Birmingham Crossplex (swimming, toughest competitor), the Hoover Met Sports Complex (baseball, basketball, motor cycle rodeo) and many other locations.
