Richard Arthur Field Airport in Fayette has recently expanded its facilities.
Due to increased usage of the airport, city of Fayette leaders coordinated with the airport’s engineers, Goodwyn Mills Cawood, to design three new hangars and an extended apron, as well as other improvements.
The result is a 4,860-square-foot multi-box hangar to support operations, along with a 10,320-square-foot addition to the apron at the airport. The project also included paving, grading and striping at the airport, as well as drainage and culvert repair under the runway.
The project was supported in part by the Airport Improvement Program and Airport Infrastructure Grants.
Goodwyn Mills Cawood, an architectural and engineering firm, provided aviation services and geotechnical and construction inspection services.
